Question 1

What cruise lines does Scootaround provide mobility scooter rentals for?

Accepted Answer

Scootaround provides mobility equipment rentals for all major cruise lines , including Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Costa, Cunard, MSC, Holland America, Viking, and more. Additionally, we are the preferred provider for Carnival Cruise Line and the exclusive provider for Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. No matter who you’re sailing with, we can provide you with a scooter rental!

Question 2

What is the best mobility scooter model to rent in Miami?

Accepted Answer

The best scooter model depends on a few key things, including whether you’ll be using it in the city or on a cruise. If you’re embarking on a cruise, a Transportable or Transportable XL Scooter is the way to go. These models are more maneuverable and make it easier to navigate through the tight spaces on a cruise ship like hallways, elevators, and staterooms. They also disassemble and can be stored in your stateroom. If you’re renting in the city, a Standard or XL Scooter is typically the best option. It has a farther driving range, added stability, and improved comfort for all-day driving. The downside is that it does not disassemble and can be more difficult to transport in a car. Call our rental specialists at 1-888-441-7575 to determine the right scooter for your needs!

Question 3

Can the mobility scooter rental be used on the beach?

Accepted Answer

No. Our mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs are not designed to travel over sand and therefore should not be used on the beach. The only exception is if the sand is hard and packed down.

Question 4

Where do I store the mobility scooter when I’m not using it?

Accepted Answer

If you are on a cruise, the scooter should be stored inside your stateroom. Transportable and Transportable XL Scooters can fit inside most cruise ship staterooms thanks to their thinner width and ability to disassemble. If you need to rent a Standard or Heavy Duty Scooter, we recommend also purchasing an accessible stateroom for your cruise, as these have wider doorways and more space. If you are staying at a hotel in the city, please store the device in your hotel room if possible. In some cases, the hotel may allow you to store the scooter behind the front desk instead. Be sure to call your accommodation in advance to determine what will be best.
