Question 1

What is Scootaround’s “Meet and Greet Service”?

Accepted Answer

Scootaround’s special “Meet & Greet Service” is mandatory if you are staying on Disney properties. As part of this service, we deliver the wheelchair directly to you at any Disney World hotel or resort at a time of your choosing. This personalized service allows our personnel to give you an orientation with your rental equipment and ensures you are comfortable using your Disney wheelchair rental prior to venturing into the parks.

Question 2

What is the best wheelchair model to rent for Disney World?

Accepted Answer

The best wheelchair model for Disney World depends on two things: the upper-body strength of the person using the wheelchair and the people they are visiting the park with. If the user has decent mobility and strength in their arms, we recommend renting a Standard or Heavy Duty Wheelchair. This will allow the user to propel themselves around the parks by grabbing the large rear wheels and pushing forward. An average sized person will be fine with a standard chair, while a larger individual may find an XL or Bariatric Wheelchair more comfortable. If the user has limited strength in their upper body, a Transport Chair may be a better option. These chairs have four smaller wheels and need to be pushed by a loved one or caregiver. Call our rental specialists at 1-888-441-7575 to determine the right wheelchair for your needs!

Question 3

Does Scootaround provide free delivery to Disney World hotels and resorts?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we provide FREE delivery to all locations within 25 miles of our Scootaround Orlando location, including Disney World. Minimum rental of 2 days.

Question 4

Where do I store the Disney wheelchair when I’m not using it?

Accepted Answer

Please store the wheelchair in your hotel room, residence, or Airbnb whenever possible. Our wheelchairs all collapse and can easily fit in any hotel room. Be sure to call your accommodation in advance to determine what will be best.
